Thx for your comments. I was always torn between this and the type 3 of TFH. But after all this wear I have to admit that I never did regret buying this one. I do not see another denim jacket for the next years on me…

      why so serious?

G, what's the word on the rerun? I'm starting to think something like this with a shorter length would suit me…

G you damn tease…. I'll be patiently waiting.  Overdyed type 3's are so awesome! Love being able to have denim on denim without it being the same hue and look silly (or so I tell myself...)

Agree.  I was torn between the OD and the superblack for the same reason.

What about an overdyed type II instead of a rerun of these, since there are a lot of type IIIs available?  Maybe make the chest pockets larger and lose the buckle? (in reference to the TW type ii)

Plus it's a new take on type II.  You don't see many black versions and the overdye is pretty unique

I'm sorry for the noob question, but I really don't have any denim jacket to measure on, so I don't have much reference. The only kind of hard measurement reference is this shirtlooking jacket from indigofera. In small, it was way wide over the stomach. http://rivetandhide.com/categories/jackets/indigofera-fargo-selvedge-shirt-fabric-9.html#cm
I've been holding off denim jackets for too long, thinking the denim on denim might be slightly too much. This thing looks amazing.

How are these as per fitment? Would it be considered slimmer fitting than average, or are all the type 3's fairly equal?

The upper arm measurements is not listed, but would it be considered average, or on the big/lower side?

I'm 183, 79 kilos with a somewhat athletic build, contemplating whether to go with 38 or 40. Thanks for any help in the matter.

Type III's are trim fit.  I'd try a 38, but you could buy 38 and 40 and return the one that does not fit for a full refund.

                                        Thanks for quick response!

I have a leather jacket which I measured. The fit of this one is just great when worn over a hoodie. It's a medium rocknblue. I seem to be somewhere between M and L in most brands.

                                        P2P=55 cm
                                        Bottom opening=48
Shoulder=48 (might be able to do with slightly narrower here)

Should I expect the jacket to stretch a little? I'm guessing a denim jacket should be worn a little smaller than a leather jacket. Also, regarding the arms, are they pretty regular in width?

EDIT: The leather jacket might have wider p2p on paper than it's appearance, due to the extra leather in the back (motorcycle cut i think). It's fairly snug over chest when i pull shoulders back.

EDIT2: Tracked down a Levis 72510 jacket in size M. Believe this is their standard fitting size. It's too big in chest and around stomach. It measures 56cm p2p and whopping 52cm shoulder.

Man do I want that overdyed jacket (in a fitting size :)). The shoulder measurement really concerns be on the 526Jod. It doesnt look that narrow on the pictures though. I have relativly narrow shoulders for me length, but 43 cm on the 38 seems really slim.

Any other 6 footers wearing the 38?

Only XS and XXL are available so it doesn't seem you have much choice in the matter!  I've been on the lookout for a used one of these for awhile, but doesn't seem like people want to get rid of them.
