Just curious to find out, how important is the detailing of a chainstitch as opposed to a lockstitch to you for the jean hem? (general question to everyone who feels like replying  :))

or to rephrase it - not chainstitching the hem feels like riding a car with 3 wheels

Roping is sweet and so chainstitching is crucial.  😉

That is the reason that is holding me back on hemming my jeans.

I took a XL in the OD SS chambray for a relaxed, summer fit and have an opportunity to accquire the XL IHSH-24.  I am not looking for a relaxed fit on the latter, but am afraid if I take it, I will end up with an ill fitting shirt.  Advice?

the mini herringbone feels tighter than the ss chambray - so you might be in luck

Thanks for the advice Beatle.  I don't think flannels are a priority ATM, but I didn't have time to get back to this thread.  Now, I do and it involves another question.

What kind of thread does Haraki use to sew the patch?

Edit: see the IHS-B thread for explanation.

I mean, the last time I posted there was February 8th. Not to mention Kiya has never even posted in his own thread. What gives?!?!

I was wondering where I could buy replacement mother-of-pearl buttons for western shirts? Cannot find anything decent on the web …
