Looks real good CD. What size did you get? Did you size up from your normal fit? I went up one on this fit and might grab the other color in the size down to diversify

I wear large, my normal size on IH shirts. This fit like a normal large, only the sleeves are on the short side.

Yeah, I got the XXL in the blue because it fit better in the arms… Thought maybe the XL would look a little better in the body. I got a little but of shrinkage with a hot soak so I probably shouldn't go any smaller

It's been a while since I've written one of these but that's because my closet is full and I'm not purchasing so many clothes these days. The 86 is my only flannel from this year's collection.
Material
The colors in this flannel are blue, navy, white, and gold. The blues dominate and white is the 3rd most prevalent color. I'm not a big fan of yellow colors so fortunately for me gold is the least dominant color. The 86 is thicker than the 41 (also herringbone), 17, 18, and the other standard flannels but substantially thinner than the heavy flannels.Fit
I'm 180cm (5'11'') and 70kg (155 lbs) and wear a size M. The shoulders fit perfectly. The shoulder measurement on the website is about a half an inch (17.1 vs 17.5) smaller than several other flannels I own but I have narrow shoulders and don't mind this slight decrease. The chest is also a bit narrower than some of my other flannels but again it fits perfectly. The length is also perfect for me. The sleeves are slightly short and I would have liked to have them 1cm longer.Details
The snaps are the standard model and not the heavy duty snaps found on the heavy flannels, 08, wasbash, etc. I tried to upgrade to mother-of-pearl but Giles informed me that the shirt was too thick for the replacements. There is no cotton lining in the cuffs on under the pocket flaps. This is something that I wish was standard on all IH flannels. My iPhone 4 fits into the pocket but there is not much room to spare. The chain stitching is yellow.Summary
Another great shirt from IH. I think I made the right choice for my only flannel purchase this year.
