Ohta is top notch, you will not be disappointed,  I have not handled another knife that has a better fit & finish.

Playing with a Ti-Lock again…  🙂 The clip makes it easy to attach your knife to say a thick flannel shirt without having to apply pressure... Very practical!..

Saw this vid of a dude opening and closing this knife like an auto with a switch of the good ole wrist…

Mastered it in about 5 minutes... THIS THING IS SO QUICK  😞

I haven't seen the video, but wrist-flicking can fuck up a knife. If Chris Reeve receives one for maintenance and sees signs of it he will replace the affected parts and charge you for it.

              Think it, be it.

You're thinking of what DougNg said, but that was with a Sebbie… That's not meant to be opened with a flick.

I'm not sure whether a Ti-Lock is (or is not), though... But it's about the only way for me to open it quickly...

If you run into a problem and just can’t get it back together, please feel free to put everything into a baggie and send it back to us. We will be more than happy to assemble the knife for you! Please note that excessive flicking of the blade will also produce a rough action. Continuous wrist flicking will eventually damage the lock because the stop pin and back of the blade are not designed for that sort of continual shock.

Sebbies open great with a flick, you just don't need to snap your wrist. As long as you do a regular thumb flick and don't whip your wrist (which is unnecessary to begin with) it won't damage the knife.

Thanks for the vid Seul, now I want a Ti-lock! Had never paid that much attention to them previously, which is a shame because I think that's a great design, and clever use of innate material properties.

I'm tempted to order direct, but I think there's a dealer here in the UK whose prices aren't far off what I'd pay if I factor on shipping and duty.

Know what the best thing is of that vid?.. If you play it @720p, you can see how fucked up the guy's thumb is from playing with the Ti-Lock  😉

I used to be able to do the same with my Ti-Lock I loved that video. Opening was always easy closing took a lot of practice to close that fast. Out of all the knives I bought and sold that is the only one I miss not having.

The action he is putting on his open looks extremely violent to me.  If it's designed for that, well and good, but that would definitely be a terrible way to open a Sebbie.

Yeah it's probably not designed for that… It is great fun though  😃

Hopefully the same warranty applies.  You may pay for it, but no matter how you abuse a Sebbie opening it he will fix it.  Somehow people misinterpret that warranty as "zOMGz Chris Reeve tries to tell you how to open your knife, you'll void your warranty if you flick it open!!!"
