My impression is that customer single pair made to order boots are dead, but Giles/Iron Heart collaborations, as well as collaborations with other retailers, will continue.  Giles has always said he needs at least 4 orders to get Viberg to do a custom build; Guy's post seems to imply that Viberg needs to make multiple pairs of a configuration to compensate for the effort of shutting down the line,  recalibrating their machines, switching out materials, resetting tolerances, etc.  A minimum order for a retailer should still be worthwhile.  I wouldn't be surprised if the minimum order goes up to something like 10 pairs instead of 4, though.

But that's just my guess…

Some new horsehide engineers and service boots on the viberg site. I don't understand why the engineers are only 8".

I gave up trying to work out what the whole anti-horse thing was. As soon as it came out they started getting back into horse for reals. Things change. As we're seeing. I for one am glad I've got the chance of Horse Viberg once more.

they couldnt make it easily on the 310 last was one issue
them, vmc and another shop have called dibs on all they can get in a year (them being there webstore)
so they stopped offering it mto
