And yes: do your homework instead of buying to try… Cheaper and more effective... Although it is fun to discover something brilliant on your own  🙂

Well I just checked and I spent about 265 € on beer from Oct 18 til Nov 25 in Geers alone… This is not taking online orders into account (another 100), or purchases in other shops...

You know the biggest problem I have with all this great beer that Seul has introduced me to? It's a self inflicted problem caused by being English and growing up with crap beer, I really struggle to pace my drinking, I just want to gulp this lovely beer down and I really have to stop myself.

In England we grow up learning to drink as much as possible, as fast as possible in order to get super drunk as quickly as possible. In Belgium the beer is twice as strong so this is not a good idea, it's also not chemical filled, battery acid tasting slop like Fosters or Carling.

Learning pace is an issue that will only be beaten with practice I feel.

Fuck yeah!.. I always say "You need to try a beer twice before being definite on your opinion", but I was really overwhelmed by its complexity and balance the first go…
I'm gonna try and score some more of this stuff on Wednesday - visiting some Carrefour stores as Furrattohedo apparently scored some there  🙂

Gav: as you know I drink one beer a day. I try to make it last at least half an hour (someone make a "That's what she said" joke)… With the very strong beers, this can easily take up to an hour...

With a good beer, that last sip is always magic but also a bit sad... Saying goodbye to something you love is hard  🙂

Of course: then I just pour me some wine...  😎
