I see Stoke managed to snatch defeat (almost) from the jaws of victory today. 2-0 up by half-time and then 3-2 down until the 95th minute… I can see relegation looming if we keep this up. August was the last time we actually won anything. Until today Begovic was joint top scorer...
Oh well, I suppose there's time yet.

I'm just pleased that it looks like Pardew is going to have a lucky season again. We learn at Newcastle that skill and tactics have nothing to do with anything, it is pure and simple blind luck
The Man U/ Arsenal game was absolutely dreadful, I don't think Arsenal would have scored if they were still playing now.

MorP, I do fear for Stoke. Especially as Sunderland appear to have woken up and Palace actually played quite well yesterday, and Norwich got a decent win too. Bad times ahead mate I fear.

Germany are missing so many of their top players though, no Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Klose, Gomes or Ozil.

That's true. I think our weak spots are today Westermann (#23) and that both the Bender twins are more destroyer than organizing the game from their position.
But your team also has a lot of new guys and they appear more of a threat and more dangerous

Hart's first save after the corner was strong. You won't believe it but that was Mertesacker's first goal with the head for Germany. Now the game is reversed

Sounds like you put up a decent fight to be fair Winchy, we're not the kind of team who "rolls teams over", but with Remy we have a chance against anyone. Unfortunately there is more chance of me playing up front for the Toon next season than him.

Was worried it was gonna be a real thrashing again so it could have been worse I guess, we desperately need a run of results now though. You could probably claim a spot in our back 4 fairly easily.

Stunned doesn't even cover it. Didn't believe my colleague at work when he said Stoke were 2-0 up… 3rd win of the season is more than a little depressing though :(. Although it could be worse...

There is that I suppose… Still a fair few games left. But I don't hold out much hope for anything other than a low to mid table finish at best.

For us I predict a mid - mid table finish. I expect our season to be very much like most of our matches, we will fly out of the blocks into a healthy position (we'll probably be top 5 over Christmas). We will then slow down to see how everyone else is doing thus allowing quite a few teams to catch and overtake us.

Convinced that the editors on MOTD are on crack, the highlights of the Newcastle Vs Norwich game made it look like Newcastle were the worst side, after watching the entire game online last night I know that this was not the case.
