Today's…
-
-
-
D's old Case/Bose collab is today's carry.
I worked on the patina with vinegar, hot sauce, and a pencil torch.
-
My Sebenza is coming tomorrow! Now I've found another one I love. The Burger EXK. I watched a youtube vid of a guy flipping that one in several different ways and it is sick!
-
Any Shirogorov owners on here? What model(s)? Thoughts?
-
Today's carry.
-
Flipper?
-
Yes, my first flipper. I'm obsessed, can't stop flipping it
-
I love flippers, I picked up a Benchmade 300 flipper yesterday, been trying to cover up playing with it here
at work… -
Haha yeah. I kind of wish this were the 3.5" model, whipping this out at work could cause some consternation among my coworkers.
I have the Spyderco Brad Southard collab en route. I will probably have that one pimped a little, maybe put a carbon scale on it and anodize the clip. It's a nice production knife for sure.
-
Hm could have used that advice before I ordered my Southard collab. I do like the look of it though outside of the scale; also dig the specs so we'll see.
This Curtiss is ridiculous, seriously chunky blade flies out even vertically.
-
Agreed on the scale, though I'm a tip up guy and don't mind big knives. It's also asymmetrical. Still like it otherwise though.
-
Yeah, the folks I have been looking at would do both–it would look like shit without both.
-
I have a ZT 0301, I carried it for a couple weeks but yes, it is on the heavy side. I have the 0350 as well
which I like better. I kind of stumbled on the Benchmade 300, I wanted the Syderco Paramilitary 2 but it
was sold out. Still on my list though. -
This Curtiss is definitely intimidating, it's large and makes a menacing "snikt!" When you flip it. I love it though; big fan of the spanto and the way Dave ground it. Really keen and the edge wears well, great action and ergos.
I have all the carry knives I need now, slip joints, lock backs, thumb studs, sheath knives, flippers, an auto… I have two more on my radar now. A friction folder, probably Japanese style (love D's Ohta's aesthetic) and a really small (2" or so) tactical or semi-tactical flipper. A flat ground one would be great, I wish Shirogorov made one in that size because their blade profile is what I'd want for that one.
-
It's a great knife mac, my ZT 0301 makes a nice snap when I open it…Gets addictive!
Oh I have way more than I need but there's always another one on the radar, it never ends.
I have two autos, a pre-production Pro-tech and a Benchmade Infidel in OD green. Not too big on autos,
I have trouble opening Microtechs and a few Pro-techs, the Infidel was the only one I had no trouble with.
Going to try and dig up that Spyderco Paramilitary 2, have a Sebenza on the list as well as a DPX...Glad I
got a raise this month!
