Looking for some advice guys:  I've worn my new 110 last HH service boots a couple of days, and am getting a serious "hotspot" from rubbing on the upper boney part of my heel.  Never had this issue before with boots (I am usually working around my high arch or looking for more toe room, but never heel trouble).

So, do you all think this will go away in a couple of weeks, either as my foot adjusts or as the boot breaks in (though I can tell it's the stiff part of the heel cap that's rubbing)?

Why can't I see this image!! Dam it! I click on it and goes to postimg.cc!! I even created an account!!

The laces are waxed cotton - got 2 pairs and special shoe polish for free.

Would not kick an elephant with those. My other Viberg's are much more bad ass than this pair. My rough out pair had initially a triple leather sole.

This pair is using Horween's Black Scotch Grain Cordovan and a relatively lean last - almost elegant. For that reason I think the laces will just do fine.

Thanks guys. They are absolutely great looking boots.  Viberg's horsehide can't be beat in my opinion. Though I am still trying to decide if they fit me right.

Last is 110.  Plain cap toe. Eight eyelets (which I really like).

Hi Tod thats a nice horse you have. Horween horsebutt needs a bit of time to break in and allow the shoe to mold to your feet. Wear as much as possible, heel slipeage should dissappear with time, you might work with an insole, good socks and lace em a bit tighter at the beginning. Have fun

Good eyes - yes, we are fans of CC and most of their wines.
Actually, nothing outrageous or terrible complex and sophisticated, but extremely drinkable and uncomplicated. Love their design! Got into them at a wine bar/wine tasting in Hong Kong…
We are members of their wine club, too. Unfortunately, we don't make it over to Paso Robles ever - would love to, but instead we have family in the US to ship it to and have them bring/ship stuff over.

This is my first post on the board!  I'm a huge Viberg fan and resident of Victoria, BC, so I'm right in the heart of Viberg country.

Today I received a pair of Viberg chukkas in aged bark that I got on Ebay for under $400.  These are the chukkas that were originally sold at Tate & Yoko, and which now can be found at Barney's.  I also have a pair of 4 Horsemen service boots and saddle oxfords, both of which are size 9.  The chukkas are size 9.5, but I thought I'd take a chance on them.  They definitely fit a bit roomier than the other two pair I have, but I suspect they'll work out fine.  I actually find that my service boots get way too restrictive after a day of walking, as my foot swells.

Here are some pics of the new boots:

You may notice that the colour is a fair bit darker than depicted on the Tate & Yoko site.  This is because the seller put two coats of Renovateur on them before selling.  The colour with the conditioner is nice and rich, but I do look forward to them lightening with wear.

Here are all three of my current Vibergs:

Back at the beginning of December, 2012, I placed an order with 4 Horsemen for a Viberg hiker with custom modifications:
                                      -Chocolate bullhide
                                      -2030 last
                                      -No Thinsulate liner
                                      -Gunmetal hardware
                                      -Vibram Sierra sole

I expect that the hikers should be ready within the current month.

do you have any updated photos of the Chukka?
