You will be happy to know, Mega, that I've added the Iron Heart. of gueuzes to your box…

Seul, if you have a spare room, I NEED TO MOVE TO BELGIUM!!!

And I am not kidding (well, after I talk to the boss of course, but still).

        PM is key  😉

Not the downright and dirty 21/23 RAW but some housetrained 25 oz'es…  😉

adam313: seeing as you're a W28, you can sleep in my "Lambic shelf"... Just don't wake up my pups - they're dormant til next summer...

No Pannepot!.. DAMN IT!.. But nice stuff anyway… 27 beers (3 big bottles) for 61.45 €...

Some more pics of Geers (finally brought me camera). This is how Geers work: they stock a couple of the shelves, and you're supposed to take the bottles out of the cases stacked beneath the beer. It helps if eg. you can distuinguish a carton of Cantillon and espécially if you know that they stamp what's in it on the box (eg. Oude Kriek, Geuze,…). This saves time  🙂

On my left: a whole isle for Lambic beers…

              Recognise these?..

Took a snap to do my homework with…

Maybe I should give the Dochter van de Korenaar brewery a second chance?..

Also, whats the good word on optimum beer storage temperature and bottle positioning?

                      Is this a reliable guide?

I didn't see that before, Gav, suz. Lemme have a look.

Rochefort: only get the 10. It's kinda ok price-wise I guess?.. They cost 2.2 € here. 2.85 for a Westmalle Tripel is steep cause they cost 1.3 € here. As for the Cantillon: have you drank geuze before?.. Perhaps wait til you've tried the one I will send you?..

In short, if you order, get these:

                            • ROCHEFORT 10
                            • WESTMALLE TRIPEL
                            • CANTILLON GEUZE BIO 75 CL
                            • CANTILLON CUVEE ST GILLOISE

                            About storing:

                            • got a cellar?..
                            • a dark storage room perhaps with preferably a constant temperature, and preferably cold?..

I' not reading that whole effin manifest, but in short:

                            • anything with a champagne cork => store flat (cork gets wet, expands, no oxidation in the bottle, only risk is getting a "corked" bottle)…
                            • anything with a regular cap: store vertically...
                            • if you wanna drink a bottle you've stored horizontally, let it rest vertically for at least 48 hours.

If I were you, I'd order from http://www.bieresgourmet.be/catalog/

Even with shipping it might be cheaper…

As for stacking, here's a pic:

Saisons in the door (saisons are not bottles you store, so they're in the fridge to be had within a month or so), geuzes, other lambics and old brown beers with a champagne cork stored horizontally, everything else is standing...

As for the soy milk in the door: I'm not sure how to store that…  :-\

Goudenband and Rodenbach Grand Cru: best old browns I've had to date…

Westmalle double: not a fan, but then I'm not a fan of doubles... They're too bloody light!..  😉
