Well I've been lusting after the 25 oz for the past three months. I'm currently working on the 666s and want a higher-rise, more "vintage" cut. PLus I want 25 oz. I need someone to tell me right now a good reason why I shouldn't. Otherwise I'm effing doing it!

Oh, sizing question (lame I know): I am a 31 across the board in IH. Normally that's because they tend to end up stretching/shrinking/stretching to 33 inches. I noticed that the 31 in these starts at….31 inch waist out of the box. I don't want to go up to 32, but I guess I'm not quite sure what to do. I definitely don't want them too loose, I has chicken legs so these will already look bigger on me. I also wonder that due to the higher rise they probably sit differently? Bah. I'm just procrastinating because my wallet is glaring at me.

There are no good reasons…....nothing else feels quite like the 25oz denim 🙂

They're less subtle?.. If you're used to 21 oz denim, the change is a bit like having this maniac on the right as your new dueling partner…

I'm not worried about the "pain," what frankly has kept me hesitating is the stiffness and tendency (at least from peoples photos here) to rip at the cuff or frat at the hem, etc. they cost a lot of dollars and I don't want to risk having to repair them right away. I'm a cuffer not a stacker…

Understood. What might help is an initial wash or soak to slightly soften the jeans up prior to wearing 'm hard. In hindsight, it's what I should've done.

Good to know. Your pics are quite helpful as they offer quite the meticulous documentation of ye olde 25 oz.

What happened? Crotch blow out? How long did they hold up before the unfortunate event?  I ask, only b/c I love the dark unwashed indigo color and also want to develop some high contrast atari (and I think I read Giles and Beetle don't wash for 6mos).

I might not soak/wash regardless (to each his own right?), but I'd still appreciate some education from a knowledgeable gentlemen like yourself (and the rocket).

Just some wear from cuffing… Reckon it'd be less had I soaked prior to wearing/ cuffing, but who knows...

So what you're saying is I've gotta either slim down or fatten up? Think I'll go get myself a pizza or two…  😉

Hmmm, interesting - I would have gone for a 35" inseam in an ideal world but i'll have a think about it. Same price?
