Boots arrived today - well chuffed!

Just wondering about protection as this is the first pair of decent boots I've bought!

Should I just use the Viberg wax stuff that came with them before wearing, or would anyone recommend doing anything else?

IMO, there is virtually nothing that you can do wrong.  You could apply the wax, won't do any harm, or just wear them straight out the box.  Personally I treat my boots and shoes like my jeans, if they get dirty, I clean them…..

Yeah these boots are made to be worn, I try not to agonize about it too much. The leather is very well conditioned out of the box, I think you might be wasting the viberg paste that came with it.

How do Vibergs come up size-wise?  I know you must get this sort of question a lot, but that pair of UK size 8 is calling to me…

I size down to a UK 7.5 in the RW 8131 mod toe, but am a pretty standard 8 is most other brands (Loake, Grenson, etc).

I wear a size 11 us 10 uk boot, Giles set me up with a 10.5 on these(yeah a little confusing) the fit is spot on.

been so tempted to purchase one of the viberg collabs but my last few experiences with the sizing leaves me worried they will not work
