The Momotaro 0905 (one wash) and 0901 (unsanforized) are a classic straight cut and close to the 634 fit.  Nice denim, too.  I've grown to really love the pink inseam and the Going To Battle stripes, which I thought were overbearing initially.

Yeah just checked out the warehouse, the thigh and leg opening are Definetly too small force hat I'm looking for. Part of the issue is my height to waist ratio.. At 6'6" with a 30" waist a classic straight leg always looks like a slim cut on me. That's generally why I go for that straight cut and it works. I actually like the pink stitching on those momos

            Sorry but here's a sizing question, if I'm a. 30 in the s710 19oz should I size the same for a 510 19oz.

s510xx drying just a wee bit damp still…. measurements look promising as they are currently at the same measurements as my favorite pair of jeans all time, my SEXIH13, will post pics as in the morning as soon as they are completely dry  🙂

Yep, there is still room to cuff 😉 A longer rise has a huge impact on the inseam/total length when you always wear jeans at the same spot on your waist/hip.
And it's unfair how better those more regular cuts look in smaller sizes. In bigger sizes the leg opening is mostly much too big.

So what's your main pair now? 🙂

I completely agree, I was a bit worried when looking through the samurai thread on superfuture and seeing some of the fit pics of the s510xx on others. Also, Because my legs are soooo  long it helps in regards to the width of the thigh to length of the leg ratio and makes them appear more fitted, if that makes sense.

I did a hot wash to get the shrinkage out completely. The actual inseam itself pre soak was 39.5 and now is just under 37 3/4", which gives me options… something Im not used to for sure. The rise, in fact the whole top block with regard to measurments, is identical to my SEXIH13 634 cut, yet another bonus IMO.

These will certainly be my main denim for a while  ;), I have been longing for a raw jean, with a more versatile cut that I feel is appropriate for everyday wear and finally found it. I look forward to eventually trying this cut out in samurai's different available denims

Just want to share if any vintage samurai's collector is interested. I've got an early samurai jeans production. If anyone want to buy/trade it feel free to contact me. It's s511xs lot 2 with the leather patch says 'made in the united states'. Cant find it anywhere else I think

The early lots of Samurai had this lettering on the patch but it is just "advertizing talk" as a reference to "made like back in teh days in the USA"
At least that's what I know

I'm sure they used same US cotton before but never advertized it as such. Most Samurai denim is a blend of different cotton

It stretches back more and more quickly - button holes can become an issues with tread becoming undone/fraying.
Most cuts are on the loose/wide side (except 610) - I went with same size as zero type cuts.

Thanks Foxy, saw and tried the left twill Jin boot cut at BIG when in NY (bootcut I know) and really like the fit and denim. Would fit ideal with small shrinkage just concerned if they shrank a lot. Thanks.
