Thanks Adman, really enjoy our shared evolution/interaction. Especially knowing you're a few months ahead of me and have already been down this path. Much thanks

Yea, totally!  One of the cool things about this forum- checking out how others are doing with their jeans and sharing the journey.

Man FBJ- that's a lot of break in- I get why they're so soft for you now!

I bought my Vulcans with the idea that they would be strictly work/abuse jeans, but I like them so much I'm wearing them all the time now.  My 634S are feeling lonely!  I have a pair of Edwins that were looking great, but they feel like they're made out of tissue paper now- Iron Heart weight and durability is addicting.

Just noticed the knife fade on the back left pocket.  One of my favorite features on the Vulcans are the selvedge pockets in the back- perfect for keys, knives, etc…
That is an awesome and unique fade!

Go for the same size- they shrink to tag size, so if you wear a 29 in 634s, go for the same in the Vulcans.  You'll love them!

depends on your thighs.  I like my 634s in size 31 way better than the fit o my 634sv. I think if I woulda went size up Ida been happy. Can't seem to sell them because the denim is so Rad. I keep saying ima loose 3-5lbs ha. Also I think because the thighs are so much tighter it cause the rise to seem quite a bit lower.

Exactly what he said. I've been wearing my 1634 and going back to the Vulcan I feel like I'm wearing my DC4001. The rise is noticeably less. Still very comfortable, but lower and a little tighter in the top block.

I'm with Josh on this. Owning SEXIH13 (30), IH634S(31) and IH634SV(30), the thighs in the SV are way tighter. They fit, but nicely, but tighter than I was expecting based on the same make of jean in other denim.

I have had pretty much every rendition of 634 cut.  My recommendation would go tts if your looking for more of a 666 cut or size up for that relaxed 634 look. You also must remember 18oz does not stretch like the 21oz does.

The Vulcan is definitely not the traditional straight leg cut that the 634S is known for. The rise is lower and all of the measurements are smaller than the same size in the 634S (I'm talking post soak too).

It's funny the sizing on these is almost the same as my TW Busters and similar to the 666L. Slight differences but similar.

Huh.  My Vulcans are a little bit tighter in the thighs than my 634S, but not a lot at all.  I chalked it up to the 21 oz stretching a bit more than the 18 oz…  maybe there's more to it!  I wear a 34 in each, and both fit very well.
