Been watching the updates via his Instagram. Looks amazing. How much did it end up costing?
I'm actually not sure on the individual price b/c I commissioned a wallet for my wife as well. Needless to say, I'm a satisfied and return customer.

Thanks! It is a custom order from Ray Lansburg (the blackacre) made with the cutoffs from my MBBs and an iron heart silver ring. It's a custom order, so you can't purchase it, but you can contact Ray about commissioning something.

Been lurking for a while here haven't posted much. Almost bought a few items in classified but have been too slow.
I have been eyeing a new wallet for a while. Mine is falling apart. Cheap bonded leather.
I had a wallet with a chain and wanted another as I lost my wallet many times before the chain. So it is not just because it looks cool. Looking cool is a bonus though.
Have found a few places to get this and similiar styles. Some discussion here and also found quite a bit on your message board. The Iron Heart midlength wallet is beautiful but out of my budget.
It was close between Leather Goods Connection and Don't Moan Organize Leather until I found an individual leather maker who had a style just like I wanted. Considered natural color but decided I wanted black with contrasting stitching with barbours linen thread. Hand waxed with beeswax. He had a few options of leather and after talking with him went with Herman Oak Bridle leather. I also considered Horween but it was more expensive and the Oak sounds like a great leather also. The brass D-ring is unique as I didn't see anyone else with this exact style.
The best part is the price is very reasonable. Only took a week to get also. I like the midlength as it all fits in your pocket only the D-ring sticking out. It also has the same measurements as my old trifold wallet. 5 1/4" by 3 5/8"
If anyone is looking for a wallet, I would highly recommend this craftsman. He makes a few styles and belts also.

Need some help deciding on what wallet to invest in. First step into high quality leather wallets/accessories but I wanna start off on the right foot. In actuality, I'm looking for three or four leather accessories in the next little while. First on the list is definitely a short wallet (around 4.5-5" x 4") and a nice simple leather rein. Probably going to stick with a natural/naked leather. I saw this short Red Moon wallet on ebay and thought it looked promising, I know Red Moon is a highly regarded company but also fairly costly. I also really dig that TFH leather chain. I also really dig the Wild Child wallet on SE but wish it had an ID slot or coin pocket.
Anyway, short of picking up a Red Moon, WC, or TFH short wallet, I'm interested in getting one custom ordered from a smaller company. I've read good things about Scott Willis, LeatherGoodConnection, & The Blackacre but would like to know if there are any options I should consider. I'll most likely be buying a new belt with the wallet & rein. From what I've seen, it seems like Scott Willis does a pretty fantastic job with all three. -
