Its the closest you probably get next to a vintage HTC, yeah that leather will come along great. I like the 50's style and love this belt. I know there are some leather artists outthere like VEB or others in that style too doing great stuff but i wanted to have the FH

      Cheers,

A couple of new VEB belts…

        Ever carefully packed:

A Buco brown with amber reflectors, and a studded black belt with skulls.

Studs with military chinos?  I don't see why not.

        Think it, be it.

Thanks–and agreed!  Love the color, and it really goes well with my Road Champs...  He can make black or brown, brass or steel studs and buckle, amber or red reflectors.

You're not alone Nate. I realized my new pair of 6634's were sans belt yesterday, so I ran downstairs to my workbench and banged out a quick belt to satisfy my own OCD.

No, I pair belts and shoes; jeans are on their own island, though I do tend to wear boots with fuller cuts and boots or shoes with slimmer ones

Quality is really good IMO. The studs seem solid. I have only worn em a couple of times so we will see long term. Bottom line VEB is a good egg and a good artisan, pleased to pay the man

Just ordered a buco HH in a size 30 and hoping I purchased the right size…. A 32 is 33.5 on the middle hole and after stretching would put me on almost the last hole similar to my samurai belts which are much thicker... A 30 is almost 32 at the middle hole and figure will stretch to we're its just right at middle im after a bit of wear.... Ok, I'm done rambling

A little meh on the pre-roughed out buckle but it's not a biggie.

@SilverKing if you're after alternatives then here are a couple.

Tender do three in brown, the Type 201 (slider), Type 204 (keeper buckle), and Type 206 (whole buckle).

                                            This is the 206.

Tender often offer one-offs through the Trestle Shop, but there are only black and brown ones there.

The other people to consider are Equus Leather, who make really lovely belts. If you want to spend a bit more, then go for their Wakugi belt, whose buckle was hand forged by a Japanese blacksmith.

I'm sure they'd make it up in the Bakers of Colyton Oak Brown leather if you asked nicely.

Equus also offer a Rentetsu buckle, which is another hand forged style, but it's out of stock at present.

All of the above options will be around $225 plus shipping. The standard Equus belts are cheaper, somewhere between $120 and $135 for the Bakers of Colyton models.
