Unpopular opinions

Buttons require for me at least undoing my belt. Zipper doesn't. Zipping up is slightly faster than buttoning up too.

Agreed. Although I've never forgotten to do up a button fly. The same cannot be said about zipper flies…
-
I dig zips, although there is the fear of having sharp metal teeth so close to your gentleman's area.
Unpopular opinion of the day. All diets are bullshit, eat less, eat fresh, drink more water. End.

I was on the fence on this opinion, and you just swung it the other way for me here. Thanks, since my favorite pants are inevitably button flys.

I don't see what the big deal is with roller-buckles on engineer boots. Is it a repro thing? Who cares?! The standard buckles that came on my Wescos do the job just fine.
A little of it is style but they are more practical too. They are easier to use and don't damage the straps as much. They aren't essential but I much prefer them.
-
Interesting. I guess I've never experienced any difficulty operating my instep strap and buckle to a degree that made me feel like I needed a better buckle. The leather my boots are made with is touch as nails, so damage isn't an issue. I will say that my friend has a pair of Boss boots that were made about a year after mine, and the leather quality isn't as nice. wtf Wesco!
Now style is a different story altogether. I'll argue all day about practicality, but if that's your style then so be it

Mike it's still a drug, prescription or not. It's a mind altering substance (and yes, I know coffee is a drug, never said/say otherwise).
Whatever. Enjoy ur pee water.
Dr Sanjay Gupta is about to flip the script on CNN this Sunday night. He is about to do something no one has done in the public eye, flip his opinion from against to for it. It's a big deal as far as television propaganda goes

That's a pretty unpopular answer with me Mike. Totally writing off the discussion and then attacking another taxed/legal drug. I respect and honour you, and am happy to have a difference of opinion. There's no need for you to be all schoolyard/dismissive about it. We're both adults, please be more respectful next time.

Almost all drugs are derived from something in nature or occur naturally. Cocaine, coca. Heroin, poppy. Cannabinoids, cannabis. The fact that its a plant that requires less processing doesn't exempt it from being a drug any more than one's personal choices as to whether they like or use it versus other drugs…

Doesn't translate well in online forums, nor via text.
I get that vibe with a lot of your posts. If you say you're joking most of the time, then, cool.
-
Hey, I like weed and coffee!
Agree with TresUnCool that text does not always translate tone well and it can be easy to take something up the wrong way so you gotta be sure it reads funny. That said it also means you can get away with being a bit of an ass by retro contextualising things. Just saying, not opining one way or the other.
Now, back to unpopular opinions - I like big boobs. Hey, wait. Wrong thread. Where is the big boobies thread?

Haha. Fucker. Don't be knocking my drug of choice. That Gatorade/Powerade shit you drink is more like pee water than coffee.

I'm from the East Coast Mike, and actually, the same state as you. So I get your humor. I do. And to be honest, I like it as well, but it doesn't translate well in text. The majority of people on this forum aren't from where that stuff makes sense. Believe me, my first instinct is to bust balls and be a smart ass all the time, but I've found that this doesn't translate well so I tend to avoid it online.
It's really quite amazing that the global members of this forum speak English and level the playing field for the rest of us. To me, that is such a gift as I barely speak another language. I really appreciate Eli, Rafa, Davito, Rocket, and a bunch of others who make the effort to make this forum enjoyable for us all by writing in English. It's only fair that the rest of us show respect to those that aren't from where we're from. That goes for our humor as well. If the joke doesn't come across, then it's no longer a joke.
With all of that being said, I appreciate Chris using English on this forum as well, because we all know what they speak in Texas isn't really English
-
It's cool, Chris isn't really Texan
On the Mikes humour thing, when I met Mike I expected him to be a bit of a dick as I didn't really get a lot of his humour. After meeting Mike I now totally get his humour and I know that he's not a bit of a dick, he's a complete dick, but I love that crazy hippy all the same
