I'll go ahead and be in the minority on these white wallets. I think they're gaudy and effeminate. YMMV, etc.

I'm wondering how if the black will age like old aniline dyed boot… If so that appeals to me even more

My guess would be that the black painted wallet won't show up the dirt in the same way that the white one would, but would end up looking something like this watch strap. The matte finish is likely to polish to a shine too with wear.
There'll be more contrast on the concho than on the white.

I found a picture of a couple of well loved Redmoon wallets on Megumi Goto's blog.
He adds, and I'm paraphrasing this from the Googlish auto-translation, that the thread is intended to fail first so that it doesn't damage the leather. That might explain some of the complaints about stitching, or it might be just Goto-san covering himself.
Speaking of stitching, the Crow wallets look very tidy.

I've decided to post this here since it's still heavyweight related. So, a little backstory: I love the work that Ray at The Blackacre did with my wallet so much that I decided to ask him about making me another one. I kept the cuttoffs from my MBBs and purchased one of the Iron Heart silver rings. I asked Ray about making a wallet that would incorporate both - a heavyweight wallet if you will. I don't have it in my possession yet, but the teaser photo that Ray sent me has me too excited not to share.
And without further ado - here is what will soon be my Blackacre wallet with 25oz iron heart denim.

I'm actually not sure on the individual price b/c I commissioned a wallet for my wife as well. Needless to say, I'm a satisfied and return customer.

A little cross posting action about the wallet I recently received from Ray Lansburg at The Blackacre. My cell phone snaps aren't as nice as Ray's pro photos, but I hope you guys like them. This wallet is amazing.
