Really? How is that even a decision?

They look super sweet btw, and completely your style.

Well of course I'm going with black. I just like options.

The only option you need is when the black laces snap, buy more black laces  🙂

…or black leather laces, which would look sick on those IMO.

              Think it, be it.

                  @bl@ster:

Gents: Just got these beautiful Brown Bison leather SD's in from Baker's.

Here are pics and the specs:

Last Standard, Sole Leather, Size - Length 11, Hardware All Antique Eyes, Edge Natural, Upper (Shaft) Leather Brown Bison, Midsole Single, Pull Loops No Thanks, Leather Liner Tan, Sole Trim Close Trim, Toe Vamp Leather Brown Bison, Size - Width D (medium), Toe Cap No Thanks, Celastic Toe Box Single Celastic Toe, Heel Base Standard

Bl@ster, beautiful boots - love everything about them… question though, for you or anyone - what is the real difference between close and standard trim?  is it just a cleaner/dressier look?  Any other significant difference than aesthetic/preference?

Close gives you one row of stitching, standard trim gives you two rows of stitching on the welt. Standard is probably more indestructible, but close is fine for my needs and yes looks a little more refined/dressy.

Yeh, exactly as Bl@ster says, close is more refined or dressier, standard is more of a work boot aesthetic.

My love of standard trim is all that has stopped my from buying the Burgundy SD's which Bl@ster is selling  😞

Thanks - I wish i was Bl@ster's size, would love to have a shot at his extra stock.

I am thinking about a SD in light brown water buffalo (links to shoe porn site below)…

Or light brown bullhide (Baker's has a choice called tan bullhide, assume that's it)…
                        http://www.ultrasoundboots.com/productDetail.php?lang=EN&id=28

Anyone have experience with those two leathers?  I wonder if the water buffalo is a price upgrade, considered "exotic"?

P.S. I can't seem to view Urb's pics - wish I could - whatever it is getting a good reaction.

Yeah, I can't see them either - iPad or laptop. Both Chrome, though, so maybe I'll try another browser.

No luck in Safari or Firefox either.

A lot of people have been having the same issue.  I believe the picture sites they use are the reason

Guys in general for pictures I suggest using Flickr. 1TB (yes Terabyte) of free space, and you can direct link. Images never go offline or are too popular.

Love the boots - love black rough out… I'm down with the northwestern look.  Very cool Urb.

Tapatalk issue seems to be gone now. Also, these new images are on my own server and unless mediatemple fails, I should be fine.

Yeah that's fairly unlikely :). Great shots/story too. I'm slowly learning how to tell product stories through images. Your photojourno is so good, really helps me learn - thanks.
