HWDC Mid Point Meet Up

End of July/ beginning of August 2014. Almost exactly a year away.
I'm getting it in peoples heads this early as I assume that some of you guys are like me, i.e not rich, have families and real world jobs and responsibilities etc….
Thanks for this, Mega. You definitely have the right idea by starting early. I really didn't want to vote for SF because I thought that would be selfish living in California; but twin is right about NYC in late July/August. It's hot. And it's humid. I will still hold off on voting, and leave the verdict to those who are actually competing in the HWDC (I rotate too many pairs to enter; love my MBBs, though!), but my entirely unofficial vote would be SF, as well.

is there a reason for the chosen dates (July/August)?
sry to ask, but just want to know if it's just the case cuz those dates are good for you or if you guys have anything special planed or if there's something special happening in those months?if not an earlier, not so hot date/month would be cool as well, eh?

People (me included) have kids, this is the summer holidays.

NY or SF works about the same for me. SF is close enough to drive, but my wife has never been to NY. Win win. It sucks that it's so spendy coming from the UK. That is crazy expensive!

Flights are not announced for another month or two, but it will almost certainly be the 8th and 9th of August 2014.
