Thanks urb. I interpret your post as they are nothing special. Do yo like them?

Solid construction and tons of details, like with all his garments. But at the end of the day I really don't care about details that aren't visible or add to the construction. You can find American made pants, shirts AND jackets in this same material from at least 2-3 companies that I can think of. All for like $100-150 less. So, it's just up to you and how much you care about certain details. The material is very cool. It fades nicely and very quickly. It's probably been 6 months since I've worn mine though.

I hear ya on this. I bought a pair of Roy's simply because of the American made ideal he follows. Great pair of jeans, simplistic and minimalist. Only a denim purist would be able to spot these but when one does, its a great feeling that overcomes any feelings on doubting the value of paying extra for the miniscule details. Always worth it in the end.

Like a dovetail jointed drawer in a chest. May not see the detail, and even when seen may only be appreciated by a purist…  But carries a sense of satisfaction to the purist who owns it. The glued butt joint gets the job done with less required skill and effort, but it runs against the aesthetic of quality construction and the hidden details that indicate it.

        Think it, be it.

I am having trouble with the lighting in my hotel room, so the pictures are mediocre.  The shirt is killer.

Looks great on you RP; congratulations. I like the construction of the back, Self Edge failed to show that in their photos.

Looks nice - lots of similar details to the chambray, which I own and really like

(Though as I said, that price for a shirt is rough, 20% more than the chambray!)

I'm going to have to try this shirt on before I make a decision.  Ideally, I need a L chest, an XL everything else, and sleeves that run longer than the average XL measurements.

I'm not complaining because it seems like these measurements work well for most people, and Roy definitely decided to make this shirt larger than his last; which I appreciate.  It's just not an auto-cop for me based on measurements, alone.

It is one damn nice shirt, though.  Congrats to those who purchased.

The chest measurement runs a little large compared to the shoulders and arms.  My perfect fit would probably have been the Large for all measurements, together with the chest size of the Medium.  I tried on the Large first and it fit great.  It is a little roomy in the chest, but the shoulders fit perfectly and the ams are the correct length.  I tried the Medium for comparison and it was too small in the shoulders and arms.

I spoke to Kiya yesterday and he said Medium was sold out at all stores.

Might just grab a large and see how she does after a little dip in hot water…

Thanks RP for the pictures and info. It's been a big help.
