I did do a hot soak. And after a week of wear they fit better. Still not as great a fit as my 634sWh. I should have sized up one. 32 instead of 31 But I'm enjoying them.

Hope they keep stretching - too tight pants ain't no good - you will always lean toward your others, eventually they will collect dust in the closet…

Mine have stretched a bit from their original post soak state- be patient, and I bet you'll be fine.  But yea, it does suck walking around with an uncomfortably tough waist…

I'm now wearing a pair of these daily in the office. The stealth arcs + modern straight + decent thigh measurements made them the pick of the litter.

^Really?  I always pegged these as a bit too casual for office wear.  You know, with the leather triangle, slubby denim, and higher-contrast fades (eventually).  For what it's worth, I feel like the original 634s is the perfect office jean.

I'm not arguing with you, though.  I'm sure you wear it well, Snow Man.

I was surprised at how well put together my Vulcans looked when they were clean and new-  They definitely can clean up well.  The denim is slubbier than 21 oz, of course, but still looks very lush and high end.  I wouldn't hesitate at all to dress them up and wear them to work.

@seano I may have gone with the OG 634's, but I was keen to experience a different denim (my 634s are 1.25 years old). The leather triangle's almost impossible to see(shirt covers), and when the high contrast fades come I'll likely swap them out. It takes me a VERY long time to break jeans, so I feel like they'll get a good wicket. Will eventually get photos in the office but it's a bit of a hassle unless it's a dodgy elevator shot. They're nicely fitted, I'm liking them.

Folks, August 23rd is VULCANALIA (google it - that's how I found out about it).

As such, I was thinking it would be cool if we all wear our Vulcans on that day, and maybe even uploaded pics to show what we are up to.

Just a bit of silliness really….but why not, eh!

Thanks for the info, Snowy. I've had my eye on these for a while, but I think I'm going to hold off. The inseam just isn't quite long enough for my preference.

I do appreciate your thoughts, though. They are an amazing pair of jeans. I think the details are great (triangle, hidden pockets, etc.). I just wouldn't have thought of them for office wear. Glad to hear that they're working out for you, and I completely understand the desire to want to try new denims. I'm the same way, and, fortunately, there is a lot of new stuff in the pipeline.
