As per Doug's recommendation, I ordered a Spyderco Native 5 from Howes Knife shop. I was super excited he had one in stock for $120 because no one else did. Woke up to a refund and an email saying he doesn't ship locking knives to NY state. Fuck.
Well, I asked if I could order again and have it shipped to D666 in New Jersey. Jim Howes said that was totally fine. So I ordered again. Got another email from him saying he was actually out of stock. He was super embarrassed but he went above and beyond in regards to customer service. He's sending me a Spyderco Flat Ground Delica free of charge. Highly recommend buying from him.

Tang gracefully tapers, couldn't capture it well but a nice knife in the hand with a wicked skull crusher. I think the blade needs jimping though. Any ideas?

My fatherland, Australia, has ridiculous 'safety' policies on knife use and knife carry. Along the lines of anyone over 16 who is carrying a knife can be fined on the spot for $1000, or issued with a subpoena and face a fine of up to $14,000, which of course gets worse… If you are within 20 metres from a pub or bar the fine doubles in all aspects... Oh, did i mention that any knife that can be opened with one hand is completely illegal, and considered a lethal device? No, not a tool, a weapon...
Despite this, I still get kicks out of my Spyderco Delica 4 FFG at home!!

Ivo Sturzenegger is a nice guy and known to the knife community. He has CRK, ZT, Hinderers and many more. last time i asked for the xm18 3.5 he had a waiting period of 4 months. I have now a zt 561 hinderer i found in a zurich knife shop so i am done for the moment.

Been kinda looking at microtech halo V? Any opnions on these? Don't know much about automatics except they have been legal for People with CNC where I live… Don't really want it to carry though just would like a nice auto in the collection

They're really awesome. I used to have a decent collection of Halo 3's
They're not the most practical though. If you get junk inside of them, you REALLY don't want to take them apart
Also, customer service is non-existent/evil
They won't service a knife that has been modified.
Sharpening is considered modification

Nuttin' fancy Tat but this is my only automatic rig and I love it. The release and safety are one button, you press down and then forward to unleash the beast, with action that kind of jerks your hand it's so significant… pretty ingenious mechanism.
