IH Fantasy Football 2013-2014

They still have the most bad ass uniforms though right? It has a dude with an eye patch on it, how can it not be awesome.
And their colors are black and silver. Yeah, they still have some of the best unis in all of American sports.
Panthers fan first, pull for Seahawks second because of my boy Russell Wilson whom I've met 3 times and played at my alma mater. Nicest dude in the world!
He is the king of the city, right now. I've never heard one thing that is even remotely negative about RW. I think he will end up passing Steve Largent as the greatest player in franchise history.

Lemme know if we're lacking numbers, my cousin (another limey asshole) who actually watches NFL (49ers fan) would like to get in on this.

Alright guys, I've had some down time since the little guy has been sleeping. I've compiled a list of the top rated players at each position and the top 300 players based on a PPR league settings. I will send these files to everyone and these files will be what you can use to draft your players. As the draft goes on, I will update everyone's team as well as the top 300 list to reduce people drafting those that are already off the board.
The season begins on September 5th so my plan is to begin the drafting on August 1st
Still have atleast 6 spots open for those still wanting to get in

^I will have to respectfully disagree. I think people enjoy FFL for different reasons. I play FFL to compete against friends, and make that Dolphins v. Browns game on Thursday night interesting. The smack talk is icing.
I've only ever had fun doing a draft in person with friends, beer, and BBQ. Online drafts have always been a means to an end, for me.
Having said that, I don't think your idea is terrible. Noon EST is 5p UK and 9a PST, right? That's not bad at all. I have absolutely zero problem with the draft model bagley has proposed. My only thought is it will be a lot more leg work on his end. If that's something that you are comfortable with, bagz, I am all for it.
-
I hear you, I was only half serious. The live draft is fun though, to me. The problem i see with bagleys draft style is by the end it would be near impossible to know who is picked already and who is not. Espessially for the people who don't really know all the positions and every player on every team, everyone will start repicking guys, bagz will say that person is already picked and it will start all over, and with say 16 rounds times 12 guys thats 196 seperate people or defenses to keep track of. Espn does it for you all at once in a live draft.
-
I'd like to join as well, guys… That would make me the first continental €uro to join btw.
-
I don't know the numbers, but I hope there is room for you, FH, and for your friend, Alex. That would be awesome.
We could have a American Conference and an International Conference. Set it up so the winner of each conference plays for the IH FFL Super Bowl! Our own forum version of SBIII.
Just thinking out loud, again.

Sea, that would be cool but don't think it can work that way, cause the winner of the international division could have worse recond then the whole American Div. in theory. I think they reseed for playoffs, no more divisions
Yeah, you may be right about that. Although, I think in the ESPN leagues the commissioner can manually adjust schedules (including the Playoffs) if so desired. It could end in a situation which isn't exactly fair – in terms of deserving teams from one division not making the Playoffs, etc. -- but that's how sports work.
Just like in real football, anything can happen in a single game; and a .500 team from one division could beat an undefeated team in the championship. There could be an element of comradery with each division wanting to beat the other, too.
I think that it would be cool to guarantee that we have a US Rep. v. an International Rep. playing for the championship. I know that even if I didn't make the Playoffs, I would be watching all the games and rooting for my American brothers to save our honor. If this were a soccer fantasy league, and I didn't make the Playoffs, I would still watch all the games hoping that my American brothers would beat the International teams at their game. If there were two International teams playing each other for the title, or two American teams, I know that I would be a lot less interested (assuming I didn't make it that far). I could be completely in the minority there, though.
Again, I'm just throwing ideas out there. This is going to be fun, regardless of the details; but I am trying to open a dialogue to make the league as enjoyable and entertaining as possible, for everyone.

We will have 2 divisions but they will not be US vs International. I presume those across the pond have less knowledge and experience with the NFL game and placing all of them in one division would be unfair IMO.
Each divisions plays the other so it's not like your gonna have a crappy team beating up on their divisions and getting the best record. Everybody plays everybody

Joined the West division… I'm happy with everybody plays everyone setup, bring it on!
