Ah, no the mistake comes from my colonial cousin looking for the kind of football played using "hands" rather than "feet" as the name suggests. I think he was referencing something I know as "slow, padded rugby" or as the people of the colonies whimsically refer to it "Gridiron"

HWDC2 UK Meet Up Interest Check
Near where I live in Nottingham an American burger chef has opened a burger bar in a pub called the Navigation, her burgers are allegedly so good that there is a three week wait to get a slot to eat one on a weekend. I must do this….

There is some discussion on SUFU about next years HWDC meet up, as you know the OG plan was San Francisco, but this is seriously expensive for anyone travelling from Europe (including me), and there are almost twice as many competitors on the East Coast so I would like to move it to NY. The discussion arises from me pointing out that we could go to Tokyo if there was some serious interest…..what are peoples thoughts?

I can afford to go to NYC. I can't afford to go to Tokyo. And even if the cost was the same, my kids aren't ready for a 13+ hour flight, but they've done the 3.5 hour flight to NYC reasonably well.
