Cool. Yeah it's definetly not "razor sharp" I've had knives of lesser price point with a much sharper edge. I mean, its sharp enough to cut cut through paper but at a considerable greater degree of pressure and the ideal ability to shave a hair is not even close to an option. I purchased it through action concepts, who is an authorized CRK dealer. I understand your knives are sharp and that's what I was expecting as well, I'm asking for advice on how I should handle it.. I don't really want to take a chance already sharpening it myself as its a $350 dollar knife that has been carried a total of 24 hours…

The thing you gotta realize is that even though it may not be as sharp as others, it will prob keep the edge it has much longer than those lesser blades

Personally, I haven't found a sharpener I like that doesn't include the use of water, which is too much work

Yeah, I knew the s35vn would keep the edge longer and like I said I'm a noob at trying sharpen anything so am reluctant to hone my skills in my new seb. I decided to just email CRK direct and see what they suggest. It might be I'm expecting more than I should from an edc. I did run a few cuts of paper from several different knives I owned to compare the cuts they produce and the seb produces a very very clean cut leaving no visible fibers where the other showed a few loose Fiberous ends under close exsmination which I assume means tearing rather than cutting is happening at some points.

Anyway I appreciate the input. Gonna kick back and just wait to see what CRK has to say.

CRK got back to me quickly and is going to touch the blade up for me free of any charge including shipping. I must say despite that hiccup I'm in love with this knife and am looking at a large 21 or 25 now. Does anyone have experience with both and care to share their preference? I read a lot all lost night and the opinions seem pretty split down the middle. The one concern I have about the 25 is the rumors of issues with the ceramic on the 25 but I have not been able find any first hand accounts only second hand reports in the forums.

I read a few posts that the ceramic was causing problems with the blade itself where it contacts. I'll try to find the posts and link when I'm off work. I decided to grab the 21 as it seems it will be slowly phased out and the 25 will eventually replace it. And then may pick up a 25 eventually down the road) The 25 really seems to be a solid combination of the seb and um though (from what ive read online at least, I tend to be the only person in my vicinity who has a hobby for fine goods from denim to boots and now progressing into sharp objects as well therefore i am dependent on forum threads to build knowledge).

I've been reading a lot of stuff about the 25 Sebenza in the CRK subforum at Bladeforums, most of them speak well of the 25 Seb! Too bad I am left handed and so I have to wait for them to make one.

Anyway, I have a small problem with my Ti Lock, one of the lock bar lobes came off. I can put it back but it's loose and I'm afraid I might lose it so I'm gonna send it to CRK. My knife has a lot of scratches so I might as well do it

got my large sebbie 21 in the mail a few moments ago. Seul, you might have been right in thinking a large would have been better. The large fits my hand perfect and was not as colossal as i had been worried about from some folks on the forums compaining that it was too large for EDC. I completely disagree and feel that it is a great EDC size for a working man. It may not be suitable for a more "dressed up environment" so I guess its good i have a small sebbie now too! lol, that my excuse for both anyway  😉
