High voltage, nice looking boots!  I have the same exact two tone thing going on with my Whites.  The medallion toe caps on my Britsh Tan Semi-Dress boots are much darker than the rest of the boot.  Doesn't look bad to me either, but it does make wonder why the difference???

Update on my White's. I wore them for about 3 weeks straight before the weather got a bit too warm in NYC to lug these around. These are before getting them cleaned up and a treatment of obenauf's lp in preparation for some hiking. After pics coming soon.

After a mild walk in the woods today and some goofy "tests", it's obvious these will make a superb hiking boot.
