i personally like the first pair, and seriously dislike the second.  However, Im pretty traditional.  i would be interesting to see a pair however, regardless.

edit** its the sole on the second one that I dont like.  Maybe something a bit more streamlined and not so rugged.  No reason, other than fashion, that that sole is on that boot.

really like those two… I guess you browsed the web page Mega, if not do it, plenty of nice stuff...

btw the grey ones should cost something of around ¥84000 while the others prob more like ¥127000, just to get an idea of the price point, but don't nail me on this...

So thats around £600 and £900 respectively….....time to start saving I guess  😃

To be fair, spec and leather really alter the price, as does whether he makes a bespoke last for your foot etc...

I'm expecting what I want to buy to cost around £500 - £550, but don't nail me on that until I get appropriate price information.

yeah, I know, just to see a range, they did a model for Mushmans http://shop.mushmans.com/?pid=54873094, that is really close to the greys, beside the diff colored sole, so that should be around that, price wise

Still awaiting answers, and I have worryingly read that Goto-San likes people to go to his workshop, or he can visit you to get a personal measurement. Not sure how he would feel about flying to Mansfield, and it might bump the price slightly  :-\

I don't know why anyone would object to going to Mansfield…

If you're getting a pair of bespoke shoes made then you ideally want whoever's responsible for the last to measure your feet. This is because they can assess you better, and also work around any quirks that you might have. Plus they'll have their own idiosyncrasies in how they do things.

Alternatively, see if you can get someone to measure up your feet over here, and post the drawings. If you want to do it in a real high-tech fashion then visit James Taylor and Son, who have a 3D scanner.

The other option would be to find a shoemaker in the UK who can make you a pair of lasts, and then ship them over to Goto-San. The trouble with that is that the shape would then then by influenced by them, rather than being the White Kloud house style.

                                  Not quite.

James Personal Tailor and Son do the Denim Doctor thing.

James Taylor and Son do bespoke shoes.

One's in Manchester, and the other is in London. There's about 300 km between them, so try not to get them confused. 😃

James Taylor and Son (of London) ruined an old pair of SD's I had with the worst resole job I have ever seen.
