^^I really hope G can get Haraki to do this.  I'm being biased but they'd sell a lot of these

I think they'd be great too, but I recall Giles saying that Haraki isn't too keen on the idea. Maybe if it comes up enough, he'll warm to it.

Another idea for a timeless classic:

          pleated-front trousers/chinos with or without a crease (like Dickie's 874 O-DOG)!

            JD,

Check out the 702s, they're a poly cotton chino, and the 816s which are a duck work pant. I've got the 816s and love them. I'd have the 702s in gray if they made them in a 40. The 707s are pretty sick too, if you like the tan look.

Fat dudes need good clothes too.

              Joe your right!

I have the 702 in khaki and gray, like them too. They are pretty chinos but not the look I discribe above. Haraki makes so many all time favourites but suspender-pants and pleated-front chinos are still missing. Both are perfect for a real workwear-style of the 1920's!

YES! A grey 21oz type III sounds very cool. But not an "SBG-version", it should be a real and brighter grey!

^ Intrigued by the idea of a grey denim type III jacket.  I don't usually wear denim type III's as I'm in jeans all the time and don't want the Canadian tuxedo look.  I'd definately go for one in grey denim though.

The denim I had in mind is the grey used for the ih-634s-gr.  I think that's some killer denim…the perfect dark grey.

Has there ever been black warp jeans with a dark indigo weft? Or a charcoal weft?

Black warp jeans always come with the white weft which makes them look like charcoal, or black weft which makes them look solid black. I wish there was a middle ground between these two, for black jeans with a nice, dark texture, but still black and not charcoal-looking from far away.

Cause what you said made zero sense. Overdyed would be a middle ground. Black with white weft and a tight weave dosent look charcoal at all. And back on black is black , if you want black with grey weft why not just say I want black with grey weft

I think he was implying that its a middle ground black like what you wanted. It's not charcoal'ish and its not put black… It has character to it unlike either of these.

Whoop... Look like nerkg beat me to it!!

And to that point was mainly saying overdyed because it looks black as black can be at first from close or far but as time goes on it has incredible character, if anyone hasn't owned any, the pictures of it absolutely do no justice for them more then any other jeans I've seen online and in person which is a ton of examples

Nerkg, any specific jeans you can recommend? I've never seen any with really good texture since the warp and weft match up.

I don't you should write off black warp/charcoal weft so easily. APC did a version with a great texture.

But do you mean character or just pure slub? Ironheart overdyed have great character, even though they are not nessisarily slubby. Also there is I think 4 differnt denims which were overdyed, the 21oz being my least favorite, 19oz being my favorite. Somet makes a truly insanely nice pair of jeans. But I think that weft is bleached tan, it is on the indigo denim, which look alot like the apc your picture shows.. The somets are smooth amazing denim with a slight slight slub, sanforized.

I guess i just love how the denim of black warp jeans looks, but hate the streakiness of the white weft coming through. I also love the boldness of an all-black jean, but feel like it leaves a bit to be desired visually. Darkening the weft gives the best of both worlds, a compromise between the black/black and white/black schemes, but denim brands don't do really do this.

A really cool pair black denim pair was the Triple Works x Blue Owl collaboration, which uses a white weft, but doesn't look as "streaked" as other black warp jeans. The white weft still makes the color a bit too light for my liking, leaving it somewhat charcoal-looking when the colors blend from a distance.

Hope that makes some more sense of what I'm saying.
