Just polished my boots for the 4th time after the 18th wear, they are starting to look real shiny!

Can't wait to see everyone boots tomorrow!

@Nerkg - mad jelly, I was thinking about the brown trench boots but I wanted something in black, when I'm ready for a pair of brown (I rarely wear brown) I'll be looking that direction.

^^ I'm going to post my new shots and wait for the day to settle and the next day post current ones, but that's just me.

I never got new pictures, I got them on day 12 of wear, I thought the contest had already begun, oh well, day 12 is close enough.

I've had boots to polish before so I've been a bit obsessive about it so far, my parents think I'm crazy, I told them the initial break in is the most important

See, I think I'd be just the opposite. Just curious if these would look awful all scuffed up like normal boots

Yeh, but the object of the competition is not to destroy your boots, it is to care for and assist in the beautiful aging of your boots over a two year period.

Honestly (unpopular thought warning), I think that the natty CXL guys will love their boots for the first year, and hate them by the end. Just my opinion.

No matter what I go with, it won't be something that I wear everyday anyways as I can't wear shit kickers to work, which is why I think I might get a little more out of these, who knows…

A toe cap is too dressy for me for everyday wear but that's just me…

Why you say that? I've seen some beat pairs but I've seen some phenomenal pairs. All depends how you care/don't care for the cxl

think all the natty cxl pairs will just look dark brown or dirty depending at least from the one or two natty cxl items i have.

the patina i admire most show on dark brown smooth type leathers.  you see the nice scuffs & they get lighter then you buff them out or shine them up & do it all over again.
