I could use some inspiration in terms of non-bootsy foorwear. What casual shoes or sneakers would you recommend?

Don't know.  Bought them from the seconds part of the site.  They were a custom build that were not picked up.  Brown Morrison, 100F soles.  That's all I know…..

German army trainers… Red Wing chukkas... Which imo are like a working man's sneakers...

PF Flyers Center Lo- classic style available in multiple colors and materials.  Palladium Pampa- also a classic style available in multiple colors and materials and so tough they were the official footwear of the French Foreign Legion.

Or you can just be an uncompromising badass and wear boots all the time.  Some folks do, you know.
