TMT - I didn't get that much change in arm length, maybe 1/2 inch at most. Definitely less than my 526Jod.

By the way, this jacket so under-rated. The duck is crispy at first, but softens up beautifully after just a couple of weeks.  The 'hidden' inside pockets are a master touch.

It's an incredible jacket (as Neitenhosen's pics demonstrate) and I can't understand why it's a slow seller.

There you go, that's my unsponsored endorsement!

Here's a few pics of mine when it was new (I had previously posted them, but for some reason they dropped off the web….)

It's a size L, and it's just big enough for me (which OK considering I only ever wear it over a t-shirt).

Thanks RnR… really considering it looks like an XL might work... would be really close on the length though.

Might have to shoot Giles a message and see if any of the XL's have a bit more length than the sizing chart alludes too.

          Thanks again bud

after measuring remeasuring and measuring again…. pulled the trigger. THanks for the help RNR.

i must say nietenhosen sold me on this. Those pics are amazing. Will be my first non denim type III... still looking for the LHT trucker but am excited to retire my paper thin characterless levi types III ive had forever.

Really hope it works for you, tmt. I also have trouble finding stuff that fits well - I'm not especially tall (6'1") but I am a skinny bastard! The Large in this jacket is just long enough, but I think you are wise going for the XL.

              Fingers crossed mate!

the UPS man just stopped by with my jacket. The fit is great and i'll try to get some pics up later this evening or tomorrow. I hope the LHT is to the same specs or a hair longer in sleeve and body length and it will be the greatest thing made since the wheel  😘

I'm psyched that the weather here in NYC is getting warm enough for me to wear this jacket more often. The fit is perfect for me!

this jacket is awesome but mine hasnt gotten the attention it deservers. thinking its a bit small, might look into trading it for a medium (mines a small). so hit me up if interested!

never washed mine yet (and I won't do it for a long time), only a few snow/rain soaks.
like it so much in combination with a pair of new/worn denim, so, definitely perfect for every day. 😉
this thing slowly shows some fadings here and there …
after seven months of nearly daily wear I have to say: great jacket!

bought this last year but ive barely worn it. do you guys think it looks too small? sometimes i think its ok, but mostly that i shouldve grabbed a medium instead.. stop caring and start wearing, or try to sell? (hard to tell by a pic, i know)

I think it fits fine, furthermore, I feel that if you size up at all its going to swallow you whole. What part of the jacket do you personaly feel is too small?

shoulders and the relative length compared to my shirts - they stick out too much. chest is fine and arms perfect.

As far as length… That's a typical type III length it should just come to you belt buckle area ... I can't really tell about the shoulder

Peter, the fit looks spot on…a size up would be big IMO....me thinks you'd be well served by a longer jacket, I'd keep it and ease into it...it might grow on you

I think it looks perfect.  If you want to layer, go a size up but keep  that one for a t-shirt jacket, at least that's what I do.  I have the type III in three sizes because that's all I wear.  I don't really recommend this, though, unless you just love the cut.

                                    RIP, Geo
