Love my 666s but must admit the waist is a little large… Nothing a belt can't fix but its definetly a strange feeling to have new pair of denim that is so loose In the waist..

So much that it would fall completely down without a belt?

I guess I get lucky or my waist is weird, but every pair of new denim I buy ends up being perfect. Not tight and not necessarily loose, right in the middle…perfect. They don't fall off if I pull them down, but I can definitely pull them all the way (wedgie style) and they're a little loose. I guess being a skinny fuck does that

Yeah they would without doubt fall sans belt especially after any stretching at all from moving

Mine are lower rise than other IHs - sit pretty low on hips - and fall off with no belt. They snug up post-wash then stretch out after 2-3 wears.

Mr. G, was the leather used for the patch this go round different than other patches? I've noticed it's a lot lighter than the patch on my 301s.

Same type of leather. Unless the patch on your 301 is new, you are seeing evo on it and not comparing like with like…

Ok, so soaked 'em yesterday - here are the fit pics…

Very happy with the fit, especially through the thigh - wanted to avoid 555-style pain on that front! Waist could do with being an inch smaller, but the fit's so good everywhere else it's not really a factor.

Rocking the double cuff until I make a call on hemming…

Sorry for the noob questions but how long does it usually take for this 18oz denim to settle and get comfortable and for the creases to set? These are tough mother fuckers! And also will the folding creases go away once they settle?

I like them GM. You must have thunder thighs :p even for my chicken legs these are uncomfortable right now. But I love the denim

GM, if you soak again and agitate the waistband a bit, you can probably get 0.5" more shrinkage. My vulcans only shrank 0.5" on the initial soak (mild agitation) and about 0.75" on the second soak (heavy agitation). Enjoy.

Fit looks really good to me, GM.

Went to VMC yesterday looking for new jeans. 10 min after arrival a Iron Heart shipping came in, 666L and the new run of 666S. Tried on both. Didn't really feel the 666L. The new 666S is another cut compared to the old ones imo, higher rise, wider waist, more taper in the leg and a longer inseam.

In the end i tried on a size 33 from the old run and snagged it. I used to have one in size 32 but sold them cause i wanted a roomier fit. These are the new ones post wash (40 degrees):

Thanks Seul! You should have kept yours, man. It is the only alternative to 666 xhs if you ask me, although there is no evident difference for non-denim-heads (but who cares… ;))

Thank you fellas! Actually i wanted some lighter jeans for summer, but if you're used to 25oz, the 18ozers feel pretty light, so it's all good

Hey Giles when will you be receiving these in the original sizing again?

I have ordered another production run, we'll see how they turn out when they turn up. It'll be 10-12 weeks and there is no guarantee that they will be exactly same as the original runs, too many variables.

Thanks. Ill check back in a couple of months - my personal preference would be for a 33 waist and an 11.7 thigh

If anybody is interested in a size 31 from the newest production run send me a PM. The top block just didnt shrink enough for me and despite my efforts I can not adjust to the extra room in waist and butt area…. Most unfortunate because from the thigh down is magnificent.

BTW. They have been hot soaked once and hot washed once to get all shrinkage out and worn a total of MAYBE 6 hours tops
