I'm about size 33.5 waist, and I'm trying to choose between getting a waist 32 or 33. In other jeans I have 32 waist feels too tight but I'm thinking long term stretching, would you recommend a size 32 or 33? Do they shrink back when washed?

You'll get a 32 to 33.5 eventually, but they will be bloody uncomfortable to start with.  The shrink back a little with a wash, but stretch right back out again….

hmm, don't know if I'm up for months of uncomfortable wear, other times I've had jeans in 32 I rarely do up the top bottom cuz it gives me a belly ache! I just don't wanna buy a 33 or 34 waist pair and have a 35 or 36 pair in 2 years time! but the jeans will only stretch to my true waist size yes/no? I see you Giles wear a 33 waist in the xhs and they look a great fit. what's your true waist size?

does the 33 of the 634 xhs feel the same as the 33 in 634s as far as fit goes? That is to say, do the slight measurement differences feel much different? I see you say your xhs's have stretched 2 inches, do they feel baggy now?

They feel different, but I put that down to the very different denim rather than slight variations in the cut….

Well, I haven't washed them, but even after 7 months they form to my legs like second skin. I wouldn't consider it to be baggy, but deffinatly looser than brand new.

My true size is 32, I generally stay true to size with any Jean I buy.

Hey Guys:

Now that the HWDC2 has started, I got a bunch of pictures to share.  Here is my first pair or IH Jeans before and after their first wash.

First wear - December 3, 2011
First wash - September 16th

This has been my birthday ritual for 2 years now.  I love just taking the day off and washing all of my denim.

2nd Wash - September 17th - too much to drink on the night out… whoops!
3rd Wash - February 2013

just ordered size 33. praying they'll fit well! How hot has been too hot to not be able to wear these? and when do you all recommend doing the first soak/wash?

I really love these jeans.  They've been with me for a year and a half and have been through it all.  I'm really excited to see how everyone's came out.  These have been my main jam for a long time, now they're taking the back seat to B01-od for the competition.  I hope you enjoy the fadez.

It would be awesome if these were made in a waterproof version! any advice on waterproofing these? everything I've tried on other jeans doesn't work well or last very long. But i haven't tried waterproofing wax yet.
