sorry, was not able to respond right away.
YES, they're "Tug Of War" in reversed waxed kip leather.  the boot shaft is a 1-pc, single leather all around [ie, no back seam].  the leather gauge seemed a tad thicker than my SJ rough-outs.

not really a hit in the "charm" department _,  but out of the box,  the epic boot construction is quite apparent.  IMO, they're  boots that "walk the walk".  the triple leather sprung-toed sole puts a roll on the stride.  i'm thinking,  maybe, once the boots break in & the soles start to flex,  the roll could turn to spring.

1st couple of days,  'twas like walking in a pair of Dutch wooden clogs … quite stiff & no "give" at all.  start of its 2nd week & it's starting to turn a corner,  literally ;).  the vamp is stretching & the shaft  is starting to soften up due to the additional oiling [i'm guessing].  if the reverse waxed kip is anything like the SJ R/Os,  they'll be fab & comfy in about a month or so.

hopingly,  the experience won't be ardouous what the model name implies

Very nice Mega the rough out shaft works much, much better than I would've thought, and I imagine that the contrast between the two leathers will be interesting to see as you put some wear on them.
