Technically, this is what I was doing yesterday, but I didn't get around to posting pics, so here ya go.

Due to a last minute cancellation, I got drafted onto a team for a charity clay shooting tournament.  Since it was for Benjamin's school, I couldn't say no.  If this sounds familiar to some of you, yes- that's exactly how I ended up playing in a golf tournament last year.

Though I should have known that folks who wander around a field blasting things out of the sky with shotguns would be casual about clothing choices, I decided to skip my usual jeans and wore duck pants.  Also, now that I think about it, duck seems appropriate for shooting pigeons…  Anyway, here's a pic of me in action.  Don't know when this pic was taken, but I'm sure I missed.  I missed a lot.  Seriously, a lot.

And finally, one of my teammates came in on this:

Amusingly, he won a shotgun after the tournament in a raffle.  Many jokes were made about him hauling ass down the highway on a motorcycle with a shotgun strapped to his back…

It's the first day of food truck season here in East Lansing and of course I had to wait in line to get my fix…

Mixed greens, popcorn soup, and a shrimp roll with shrimp farmed just down the road…

Popcorn soup with hominy for crunch, and a bit of cinnamon.  Super tasty…

didn't grab any pics of the sandwich, I finished it by the time I thought to grab a pic, but had this cake pop for desert…
