Happy Birthday to my 1984 Toyota HJ47 Land Cruiser, made in Japan this month 29 years ago.

It's an RHD Australian spec "Troopy" model and the last year of the FJ40 style body type.  It's been stored since early December as salted roads and old non-galvanized steel do not mix.  I will go get her next weekend, but here is a picture when I picked her in Santa Fe, New Mexico back in August (I'm on the left, as is my Land Cruiser).  I'm 6'1", so it definitely has some road presence with the 33" tires and 2.5" lift!

You can always look on the IH8MUD forum for inspiration.  Mine had the diesel engine swapped out with a brand new crate Chevy 5.7 V8 gas engine (only about 20K miles on it now).  Double the HP, triple the torque of the diesel…and it will do 100 mph easy and cruise 80 mph all day.  Anything over 60 mph with the diesel and you're watching RPMs and engine temps constantly.  It had a homemade camper setup in the back when I got it (seating for two), but I added two rear captain's  chairs and jump seats for four (now seats eight).
