To take as much shrinkage as poss out of the fabric (and hence any guess work) AND (most importantly), bed the constructional threads into the denim AND it also gets rid of any spinning or weaving gunk, particularly "size".

Size is a solution normally applied to the warp yarns to strengthen, smoothen and lubricate them.  Starch is probably the most common size used in denim production.

summ3rhays, you've taken it to next-level. Standing outside barefoot, in a t-shirt, with snow on the mountains behind you. Epic 🙂

Haha, I'm barefoot whenever I can. My wife looked disapprovingly at my indigo covered toes from scraping my way into wet MBB's.

How easy is it to clean the bath tub afterwards?

need to get rid of that huge "bucket" cuff though 🙂
also i thought i should wear the exact same outfit as i had on as shooting the IHxB01 (21oz) fitpics so you guys have something to compare to (both size 36 btw.)…

No disrespect Kev, but they won't last two years without a soak...  😉

At last, a ray of hope.  My jeans sales may not fall off the cliff after all…..

I of course meant to say that they wouldn't last two years without needing some repair…

Backed.  Regular soaking is not a bad idea either.  This denim is far too thick and crisp.  It will rub away the seam stitching both inside and out at the hem and crotch seam if you don't.

I'm curious if you recommend this even after an initial soak. These jeans are quite stiff and don't stack at my ankles well. They just kind of make everything below my knee look all bunchy so I'll be cuffing them to avoid that. I'd hate to have them tear at the fold.

It's a good idea to soak periodically, especially when the jeans are new and are stiffer and still have a lot of starch
