Just to put it in perspective, if anyone is complaining about wait times then I've got another three to four months to go. This is similar to what I'll be in.

No leather liner? With all due respect, that's a mistake  :o

Why?  That's a heavy enough leather that a liner isn't necessary for the boot to hold its shape, and since it's rough out, the smooth side of the leather is on the inside, so a liner wouldn't be an improvement in feel.  Boots will be cooler without the extra leather, too.

I disagree about the feel. Smooth side of leather is nothing like say a calf liner
At least on Aldens. Mabey whites liner is much different

I have owned 8 or 9 pairs of Whites, only ever had a leather liner in 1 pair, never missed not having one.

Didn't think I'd spring for a proper boot until next year so I missed the 50 person cutoff but all this talk got me to order some red dog bounty hunter's - it'll still be fun to unofficially play along.
