After soak:
This is an heavy garment that absolutely requires a break-in time, and a soaking speeds up all a little.
No shrinkage at all, but now the IHSH-78 fits better & comfortably.
78 is a little bit smaller then 75, so they can be layered whit a great result.
I love hickory and I love work shirts, so 78 is going to be one of may favorites.

Thanks for the post-wash info, georgeel.  I am delighted to learn that there will be zero shrinkage.

I agree that the fabric will take a little time to break in, and it's good to know that washing speeds the process.  I actually enjoy the crispy feeling of some of the new IH shirts.  The break in is part of the fun; like a new pair of jeans.

Regardless of preference, this shirt is fantastic.  It's so sharp.  I couldn't be happier with it.

I've put mine in for a warm spin cycle hoping to get a little shrink-age out of the chest area (seems like it'll be less work than me bulking my chest up ). Love it and it had it's first of many office spins today

also for accuracy, I don't have before measure to compare if it has shrunk or not (about 5 minutes into the wash I realized my rookie mistake). Will compare afterwards against IH.uk measurements which have been confirmed as correct tho

Arm: 25" (-.5")
Length: 28" (-.7")

Shoulder stayed the same

Fit is now PERFECT for me.

Even after a warm wash this shirt is still stiff as. As you've all been saying, you know it's going to take a while for this shirt to break in, very exciting!

Whilst studying/wearing this earlier, I finally saw the hickory stripe in all it's detail. One of those things that helps it pop, but hard to describe why it pops without looking closely. (click for full-size porn)
