I'm sure it's easy, overdye is just a matter of like boiling water dye and whatever secrets they use to have it come out right, I think the problem is they lose a bunch of pairs in the process so essentially they lose money and with a small run there's probably not much wiggle room to just be trashing a bunch of pairs while overdying. I bet it would be worth it if they had a large run but OD dosent sell well so that won't happen either

Nerkg, yeah, I think you're absolutely right. They lose enough of the regular 25oz, as it is. Moral of the story: buy the 634s-B. You won't regret it.

Yes, possibly a tad more, the weave on the 21oz is looser than on the 25oz

How about a 25oz over-dyed 634?  limited to 50 pairs?

I'm sure there is. I normally wear boots but I don't think I own any footwear that aren't stained with indigo.

sorry if this has been asked before, but are these going to stay in production for the next couple of years? Last few pictures really made me want a pair, but i bought the MBBs so i can't buy anything else for a long time…

Pretty sure Giles said he's only keeping 1 overdyed pair going, whether it be the 634-B 666od or Beatle busters OD, I don't know.. I would vote for the 666OD, I have them and they are amazing

Hey ya'll this is my first post. Sorry to res the thread but I'm looking into getting my first pair of black raw denim (I already own some APC's, PBJs, and unbranded), and I've heard such great things about Iron Heart. I really would like a straight fit with the heavy IH denim. I had some concerns about how to size these as I don't have the opportunity to try them on.  I did my best to read through this whole thread and I've determined the two best sizes for me would be either 32 or 33.

Anyway, for reference my APC new standards are size 31  and they fit great (although the waist stretched to 34" since I sag them a little and now I have to wear them with a belt), the thigh on these has stretched to 12". My PBJ XX-005 are size 32 and fit well overall (waist on these is about a 33.5" and thigh is about 12")

Do yall think I would be best fitted with a size 32 or 33 if I want these to look fitted? Thanks so much!

I'd go with a 32 if you want a fitted look.  A 33 if you want a slightly more relaxed look.  I went with a 34 on these when I should of gotten a 33.  This was my first IH denim so I went on the safe side.  These 21oz can stretch a lot if you want them to.  Hope that helps

Agreed- if you want a slimmer, more fitted pair, then get a size 32.  Not to complicate things, but if you want a more slim fitting black jean, you should probably consider the 666Sod, 555-03 sbg or IHxB01xod.  All are less relaxed than the 634 cut and are heavy weight black denim.

I really can't thank yall enough for the advice! I think I'll try the 634 in 32 and hope the waist ends up 33-33.5ish so I can wear it closer to my hips. I was interested in the devils fit as well but I have fairly big thighs so for that reason I am always paranoid about fits that are slim in the thigh but I suppose the PBJs turned out fine so I guess that'll have to be my next pair.

Looking at all these fades from the overdye leaves me in awe I can't wait to get a pair and link some fit pics. Thanks again all!

The 666od and the 634-b are two different denims, i have owned both. I far prefer the 666 so be careful when choosing, I sized up on the 666 and have pretty big thighs too. I'm a 33 waist as well. Good luck with whatever you choose and your gonna be hooked
