Photograph and Camera talk

Thanks for posting your process. The VSCO Film looks amazing. I'm sitting on Lightroom 2 back down over here. If I ever get serious I'm going to have to keep that in mind. Seriously next level photography. Was fairly close on my fixed-length guess. only 15mm off, and had imagined f1.8. I agree with you that the next-gen cameras a hybrid between the SLR quality and portability of hand-held is where it's at. Canon's EOS M for the canon owners (me), is interesting, but still requires crazy ass lenses on no body, so bulky still. Thanks again!

Does anyone have experience with a Sony DSC-RX100? I'd like to get into photography and it seems to have a lot of good features for an amateur photographer and I like that it's compact enough that I would actually carry it regularly. Any input or recommendations would be appreciated!

Not a stills camera, but this is what I want for Christmas. http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicproductioncamera4k/ It's a 4K camera for $4K. They write onto SSDs, use standard connections, and all the smarts are in the software. I can see exactly where they're coming from in the design, and it makes sense to me as an IT nerd. They've also announced a pocket camera, which has a 2.5K resolution for $999. It takes Micro 4/3 lenses, but could be easily adapted for Leica glass. http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicpocketcinemacamera/
