think you had some Effector's... or something like this... maybe?...

I had effectors, and before those I had some even thicker rimmed, wood effect frames by some Japanese brand I picked up in Tokyo. Looked exactly like the ones you posted though R

this is btw not some wood effect, they left the usual polished acetate in rough state, what is pretty cool and feels great...

Cool, I think eyeglasses are very much an individual statement. Go with what you like, and what suits your style man
