Depends on why it stopped working.  If they determine that you abused it, then that's not covered by the warranty.  Otherwise, yeah, you should be covered.

Not sure. I haven't dropped it or slammed it against a hard surface. I did notice when the crown is pulled, it comes out entirely. Gonna go to a watch shop and get it checked out. Maybe get an estimate or something.

That sounds like it would be covered.  I did that to a watch once and it was just that the stem was defective- bad metal, apparently.  If you go to a Seiko authorized shop, they should be able to a) diagnose the problem, b) tell you how much it will cost to fix, and c) tell you if it's covered by the warranty.

Probably a dumb question, but is Macy's considered an authorized shop? I'm thinking yes but want to make sure lol

Well, they're an authorized seller, but do they do repairs?  You need to go to a place that does more than just replacing batteries and sizing bracelets.  You're going to need a trained watchmaker/repairer, and I'm not sure Macys does that.  If they do, then I'm sure they'll be Seiko authorized.

ended up taking it to some local watch repair shop. gonna be about $30.

figured it be quicker and less of a hassle.

Just ordered a machined stainless steel replacement bezel for my Vostok. I know it's silly spending money on pimping a cheap watch, but it's going to be fun! Now I just have to pick an insert for the bezel.

Picked up this new, old stock Orient off Ebay - 35 quid. It came with all the plastic protection bits still on it. The bracelet is a bit rattly but its rocking some Japanese 70s cool I reckon:

For that price, how can you say no?  I don't like the cushion case, but even so, I'm tempted.

It's definitely a good looking watch, and with the potential to look great with a few years of wear. Would it last a few years? Would be easy to get repaired? I'm just asking as I honestly do not know.

Miyota movements are durable, dirt cheap and ubiquitous.  If you ever need to repair it, you should be able to do so easily.  Heck, you could probably just do a full movement swap for $50-75, parts and labor total.
