              tq finn,

am using Nikon D3s with 14-24 f2.8 with tripod.
im not remembered the setting, guessing shutter 1/125, f18, iso 100
taken using bracketing, 7  different exposures, and blending using photomatix PRO to create an HDR images and enhance using adobe CS.

thats all what it takes! 🙂

Wife and I are considering selling the Nikon D40 in hopes of getting a Canon 7D. Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll find out which kit it is.

Since few people asked about the pics at The Knights in White Denim Tour, I'll post the answer here to stay on topic.

Right now I'm using a Fuji X-Pro1. Those were all shot with 35mm f1.4 fitted with ND8 filter. I tend to use as fast lenses as possible and shoot wide open all the time. All were shot in JPG. I'm really not happy with the camera as I hate AF but I can't afford a Leica right now and SLR's are too heavy and bulky for my taste, this is the best compromise.

What comes to the post processing, I use Lightroom and the key for that "vintage feel" is a really low contrast. Flatten the highlights and use the shadows slider to reveal all the detail in shadows. Keep the blacks black with blacks slider. Add some warmth to hightlighs and coolness to shadows with split toning, which is the best tool on Lightroom. You can find tons of split toning tutorials on the web.

This time I added an effect with VSCO Film, the grain on those is AWESOME. But you still have to tweak every photo individually. There's no easy way really, it took several hours to process those pictures.

Of course it's possible, but nothing like shooting with a proper manual focus camera.

Thanks for posting your process. The VSCO Film looks amazing. I'm sitting on Lightroom 2 back down over here. If I ever get serious I'm going to have to keep that in mind. Seriously next level photography.

Was fairly close on my fixed-length guess. only 15mm off, and had imagined f1.8.

I agree with you that the next-gen cameras a hybrid between the SLR quality and portability of hand-held is where it's at. Canon's EOS M for the canon owners (me), is interesting, but still requires crazy ass lenses on no body, so bulky still.

                              Thanks again!

Sorry, meant a digital Leica. I do have a titanium M6. Sold my M8 to get a used M9 but the prices never went down, maybe they'll drop when the new M hits stores…
