Thanks for the encouragement guys. Soles came in today.

Traced to shape:

Heel nailed, drilling holes:

Goofy looking hand stitching:

Looks good from the top:

The vibram nailed on:

Hope heels come soon!

Will grind everything flush and clean them up.

No heels today. Got the left boot going and cleaned them up a little

All my heel stuff arrived today. I bought some old WWII NOS heel segments and used some recycled tire flooring for part of the heel. Softer than shoe rubber, very comfy. Not really any progress photos, Glued everything together and nailed them to the shoe:

All in all, It was an awesome experience. I'm happy with how the boots turned out and am glad I was able to give them life again. Thanks again for the encouragement!
