G, is the opening supposed to be so small? i'm having difficulties putting them on now.

yes or else it could easily/inadvertently come off
it is sterling, gently stretch it if you so desire

anyway i just tried to wear the bangle and it's impossible to wear them. it's way too small. was there any difference in sizing from the initial ones?

Stretch it out, that is what you are supposed to do with Bangles.

^ What Giles said - the opening is very small when it arrives, but you just need to widen it to fit. I had to do the same to fit my 7.25/7.5 inch wrist on Friday when it arrived.

You won't break it, just gently but firmly pull the two sides apart.
