So, did a hot soak this morning to try and loosen it up, then finally got in to see my Doc. It's gout in both feet. Left, that was originally injured, is better. Right, my good foot, is unbearable. The weight of my comforter hurts. I've created a cane from a walking stick and am seriously hobbling around. I've had a shot of steroids, and now she put me on a pack. I'm taking 800mg of Motrin, 10-375 Loritab, and a bottle of cherry juice extract. Had blood drawn for a kidney/liver scan, and I'll find out more tomorrow.

I just had compression garments fitted from the knee down on my left leg to try and combat neuropathic pain from my bike injury nearly 5 years ago.. Im not sure how it will go, but its gotta beat long term narcotics.. if i can kick them that is.

Thanks everyone for all the support. It's been a hard week and I really appreciate it. On top of the bum feet, Its happening at the worst time. I took over leadership at a new company and its like, "hey, is our new boss the young guy with the pimp stick?"

That is a straight pimping cane there Joe, get well mate. I had gout about a month ago, it was one painful M feckin few days, went to the Doc. He gave me some strong stuff, didn't feel much afta they kicked in. Funny thing is I hadn't been eating very much of the danger foods or drinking too much alcohol. I wasn't drinking enough water I reckon

Down Under Guy, that's what's crazy. My diet has been the cleanest it's been in a while and I've really cut back my alcohol consumption. I've lived pretty hard, and now that I clean up, I get gout!?!?! What bull-shit!

Sorry to hear that jsj. I heard it will take a good few days to go away. May need to modify your diet to lessen subsequent flarer ups. Hang in there.

went for car re-inspection cos my car's exhaust failed the first time. end up passing the inspection today but my black iPhone 5 somehow went "missing" at the inspection centre. didn't wanna use stolen cos I got no evidence. damn bad week!
