Thanks, still smeared in polish, but I'm really happy with how the leather has come up. It's such a nice, soft comfortable leather, not at all what I would normally wear.

saw the review :-, been eyeing for info ever since 😎
i'll wait whether it gets the mega stamp  :-

Thanks guys. Really excited to see how these patina. I've seen some worn White Kloud boots in the same leather (Badalassi cognac) at Mushmans and they were a really stunning red-brown. If you're familiar with Alden's Horween shell, tone-wise at least they were a Ravello-ish color. Here is an example, but the ones I saw were even darker than these.

Engineer boots really are not my thing, but I have to applaud they way those boots are made. The stitch and the leather looks amazing, they should last forever.

on another note, what do you think of dying the natural sides of the soles the same colour as the boot? Thoughts?

generally, natural is too light imho and gets awful looking fast.

I prefer stained brown or black. Black is easiest to maintain neat.

Both can tone-in or give contrast depending on the boot color….
