No but I'm sure if you email him he'd probably let you have a visit of the shop.

beautiful.  Im still kicking around the idea of getting one, but I have not had the chance to try one on, and at $2k, trying it on is a must.  I could also have something made locally for a fraction of the cost, but im not sure what the horsehide markup would be….

I'm not sure where you are located, but if you could make it in to Self Edge you could try one on in person.  VMC in Zurich, Switzerland, also has some in stock.

Im about a 25 minute train ride from Self Edge SF, so I have no excuse.  In fact, Ill most likely go this weekend.  Im applying for a new job, so if that pans out I might convince myself I need a celebratory gift:)

Fantastic.  Be sure to let everyone know how the jacket fits and best of luck for the job.

Hey, I am 6'3", 200lbs and I have the Heron from Self Edge.  I am not sure if the vintage fit works for my build.  What do you guys think?  Is it too short?

i think it looks good.  I agree with the straight on fit pic.  Might want to layer a bit more underneath to snug up the fit a bit if thats your thing.

Looks good from what I can see but, as mentioned above, a straight on fit pic would make it easier to tell.  I've always found with my Heron that it looks better layered under a shirt or sweater, rather than just over a t-shirt.  This seems to fill out the tube-body of the jacket better, imho.  Nice pick up.  Photos of the brown leather I've seen look tremendous and it will only develop more character with time.

I am going to keep it.  It does look good when it is layered.  I also recently adjusted the side straps, and it improved the fit.
